Advice and tips
Below are our very own Top Tips Direct from our main Salon Specialist.
1) Jayne says: If you’ve got fine, limp hair, why not try GHD’s Fat Hair Lotion? It’s a styling product, so use it after you have shampooed and conditioned – you’ll find that it will give your hair more volume, and plenty of oompf! It’s step 3 in the GHD programme.
2) Jayne says: GHD’s Thermal Protector is great for protecting your hair from heat when you are using your GHD styler. The Protector comes in three different types, depending on what your hair is – normal/fine, dry/coarse and weak/damaged. It’s step 2 of the GHD programme -give it a try today!
3) Jayne says: In the salon, when we are curling hair with the GHD styler, we always use Creation Spray. This is because it gives the curl a firm hold – and we find that it because it is a spray, it is easy to use and work in.
4) Jayne says: When it comes to shampoo, a good choice is GHD’s Guardian brand – it helps protect hair which has been coloured from day-to-day wear and tear, UVA rays and heat damage (so it’s great to use in conjunction with your GHD styler).
5) Jayne says: Your hair needs regular shampoo and conditioning, in order to get rid of the build-up of such product as waxes, serums and hair spray, all of which can make your hair dull and lifeless looking. Always use a quality shampoo for the best results.
6) Jayne says: At the salon we always recommend the use of good quality treatments, which can put back all the proteins and moisture which can be lost as a result of colouring, perming – and even going on holiday!
7) Jayne says: All GHD products come under a four step programme, which covers everything you need to make sure your hair is in tip top condition. The four steps are: cleanse and nourish (shampoo and conditioner); protect (thermal protector); style (styling products such as Fat Hair Lotion); finish (waxes, serums and hairsprays).
